Every donor at our foundations has a story. Their stories are purposeful, passionate and inspiring.  Below you will find tales of love for community. They are driven towards making the lives of their family, friends and neighbors better. From sharing the love of music to running on the other side of the world, our donors find unique ways to make the impossible happen. Thank you to our donors for striving for a better tomorrow.

Generosity with No Bounds – Patrick and Brenda Jennissen always wanted to vacation in the British Virgin Islands and were planning a vacation there when the islands were hit by Hurricane Irma in late 2017, seriously damaging the area and impacting tourism. The Jennissen’s put their vacation plans on hold and shifted their focus to how they could help the islands recover. Through their Donor Advised Fund at the Sauk Centre Area Community Foundation, Pat and Brenda made a gift to help re-forestry efforts on Soggy Dollar and planted a tree. In February 2019, they made the long-awaited trip to the British Virgin Islands and found the tree their gift made possible. A simple act that leaves a lasting legacy—proof that donor passions and generosity knows no bounds!
