The Brainerd Lakes Area Women’s Fund (BLAWF) was established in 2009 to enhance the lives of women and girls in the Brainerd Lakes Area. The BLAWF offers educational workshops, fundraising events, and programming that assists women and girls in building on their strengths to reach their full potential.
WOMEN MAKING WAVES – Join us on April 16th for our annual event where we will recognize the 2019 Women Making Waves Award recipient. Do you know a woman “making waves” in the Brainerd Lakes community? Nominations are being accepted through March 1st. Last year’s award winner, Joey Halvorson (pictured), is great example of those positively impacting our community!
JOIN THE 365 GIVING CIRCLE – With a $365 or larger gift, anyone wishing to support the Women’s Fund’s grants and programs may join in creating change and taking part in the granting process for the coming year.
2019 Grant Round Opens
To date, the BLAWF has provided over $60,000 in grants, supporting nonprofits assisting women and girls including: Bridges of Hope, New Pathways Inc., Habitat for Humanity, and most recently, the Rising Hope Foundation with support for women who are victims of sex trafficking.
