CommunityGiving and our partner foundations believe in and have been witness to the power of female-led philanthropy.  We know that as the wealth transition takes place over the next decade, more women will have the resources to support their communities.  It is already happening; between 2010 and 2015 private wealth held by women grew from $34 trillion to $51 trillion – an increase of 50% in just five years.* Your local community foundation is here to help and act as a resource as these charitable decisions are being made. We are also very proud of the work that the Women’s Fund of the Brainerd Lakes Area Community Foundation, Central Minnesota Community Foundation and the Willmar Area Community Foundation are doing to engage local women as both leaders and givers.  They are continually finding new and innovative ways to transform their communities through advocacy and grantmaking.
